Three Generations of Commitment

The Decker name has a long history in the claims field and has become synonymous with hard work and integrity. In the early 1930’s Mark Decker recognized an opportunity to assist local insurance companies in the adjustment of property claims and established an independent insurance adjusting firm in Newark, NJ. Jack Decker fostered his father’s commitment to service for 45 years until his retirement in December 1998.

Presently, John D. Decker, President of Decker Associates is continuing this family tradition of servicing the insurance industry. Under his leadership of thirty plus years, Decker Associates has experienced steady growth combined with an outstanding reputation of providing the best claims adjustment and appraisal services. The territory has enlarged to handle claims throughout the State of New Jersey, five boroughs of New York City and Eastern Pennsylvania. During his tenure John has expanded the operation in 1999 and again in 2004 to include Branch Offices at the Shore and Southwest Jersey areas. John continues to build the firm and its team on the reputation of excellence, responsiveness and dedication to our customers.

What We Do

Decker Associates specializes in the handling of property claims, both commercial and personal lines. In addition to first party losses, we routinely handle third party property damage appraisals.
We currently represent over twenty plus property and casualty carriers, many of which we have developed long term relationships with. Our customers have come to know us for our personal service and trust us to provide the highest quality of technical expertise.

Our adjusters and administrative staff are equipped with state of the art tools and software applications to ensure compliance with each of our client’s protocols. Our staff is fully trained on our proprietary Decker Management System allowing us to service our claims with excellence in a timely and accurate manner.
